Eligibility : Candidates seeking admission to B.H.M.S. should have passed Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu or an equivalent examination after 12 years of study of any state or Central Board accepted by the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University. The candidates should have passed in the above examinations with the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Botany and Zoology. The minimum marks required for different categories are as follows: OC: Minimum of 50% marks in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together, 50 % marks in each of Physics and Chemistry. Aggregate should not be less than 120 out of 200 BC: Minimum 50% in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together, 50% marks in each of Physics and Chemistry. Aggregate should not be less than 110 out of 200 MBC: Minimum of 45% marks in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together. 45% in each of Physics and Chemistry. Aggregate should not be less than 100 out of 200 SC & ST: Minimum of 40% marks in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together, 40% each in Physics and Chemistry. Aggregate not less than 80 out of 200

Course Details : B.H.M.S (5 1/2 Years including 1 Year Compulsory rotatory internship programme) (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery) I-BHMS Homoeopathic Pharmacy Organon of Medicine, Principles of Homoeopathic Philosophy and Psychology Anatomy, Histology and Embryology Homoeopathic Materia Medica Physiology including Biochemistry The I.B.H.M.S. course examination shall be held at the end of 18 months. II-BHMS Pathology & Microbiology Forensic Medicine & Toxicology Homoeopathic Materia Medica Organon of Medicine The II B.H.M.S. Examination shall be held at the end of 2 1/2 years of the coruse. III-BHMS Surgery including ENT, Ophthalmology & Dentistry & Homoeo Therapeutics Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Infant Care & Homoeo Therapeutics Homoeopathic Materia Medica Homoeopathic Materia Medica Organon of Medicine The clinical training and theory lectures shall be of two years duration and will commence from Second year onwards. The III B.H.M.S. examination shall be held at the end of 3 1/2 years of the BHMS Coruse IV-BHMS Practice of Medicine Homoeopathic Materia Medica Organon of Medicine Case taking & Repertory Community Medicine The teaching and training program in practice of Medicine and Repertory shall commence from the beginning of the II year and the study shall continue for the three years duration. The IV BHMS examination shall be held at the end of 4 1/2 years of BHMS Course
